Melany and Dan – 08.28.10

This past Saturday, we covered the wedding of Melany and Dan. These two are so cute together. They really don’t take a bad picture together! We started at the church for getting ready. After the ceremony and portraits at the church, we went exploring for some shots with the bridal party. We ended up at Ski Roundtop to finish up before the party began. And, oh my, what a party it was. I don’t think Melany left the dance floor the entire night!

Boys will be boys.

I love when getting ready is in a church nursery. ;)

Melany looked lovely.

Waiting their turn.

I loved this moment between Dan and his grandmother.

Beth and Brooks – 08.21.10

What a fun evening! We had such a great time hanging out with Beth and Brooks for their wedding that it hardly seemed like work at all. They did things THEIR way for their special day and I think that made it all the more special.

The girls getting ready. They are all so cute together.

The first LOOK-SEE. :)

Loved this look.

Beth.

Jennifer and Ryan – 07.17.10

This past Saturday, we had the privilege of capturing the intimate wedding ceremony of Jennifer and Ryan at the lovely Cameron Estate Inn.

Christi and Nick – 07.10.10

What a fun day!!!! I had been so looking forward to the wedding of Christi and Nick that I tried to move it up a week. :) I knew it would be a day of friends, family and fun and it was definitely that. We started our day spending some time with both the guys and the girls before heading to the church for the ceremony. Christi was literally jumping up and down with excitement while she was getting ready. After the ceremony was when the fun really began. We stopped at the far side of City Island to do some pictures and then made an impromptu stop at Dairy Queen on the way to the reception. And what a reception it was, complete with a surprise visit from Elvis!

I love this picture of Nick.

This is one of my favorite wedding images of all time!!!!

Saturday was awesome for puddle shots because they were everywhere and the sky turned so blue.

Our trip to DQ was so much fun. And they even changed the sign out front for Christi and Nick!

I think we might have seen a little too much of Elvis. ;)

This is what this little girl thought of Elvis’ singing.

Nick’s dad was having so much fun at the reception. Everyone was commenting on him!

Two of the cutest flower girls ever were in this wedding. Of course, I am a little biased. They are the daughter’s of one of my dearest friends.

Ceremony: St. Catherine Laboure
Reception: Officer’s Club at the Mechanicsburg Navy Base
Cake: Family friend
Flowers: Pealer’s

Ashley and “Chip” – 06.26.10

Last Saturday, we had the privilege of capturing the wedding of Ashley and James or “Chip” as I will try to call him. ;) We started heading north to Millersburg for the ceremony before heading back to Harrisburg for the reception. We stopped for portraits at Italian Lake before heading to the Milestone Inn for the tented reception. Although it was a little hot and humid, everyone seemed to have a great time visiting with each other, laughing, and, of course, dancing.

Here’s the day in pictures:

Watching the US in World Cup play. We all know how that ended.

Instead of wedding favors, Ashley and Chip made a donation to Caitlin’s Smiles as well as asking their guests to bring a book to the wedding.

And once again, we got to see one of previous bridal couples. Remember Krissy and Troy??

And this lucky guy in the middle was one of our seniors last year, Connor.

Ceremony: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Millersburg
Reception: Milestone Inn

Cake: Dingeldein Bakery
Flowers: Blooms by Vickrey

Christy and Rick – 06.19.10

Last weekend, we traveled to State College for the wedding of Christy and Rick. Everything was happening at the beautiful Toftrees Golf Resort but before we went to the resort, we started with the girls at the salon. It was so nice to finally meet Christy (we had done all of the planning via email and phone). Christy, her bridesmaids and her family could not have been more welcoming to us. Once the girls were all done up, we headed to Toftrees. At that point, we go to meet the guys and hang out with them a bit before the ceremony. Christy had thought of ALL the details. She even decided on two completely different looks for herself for the day. After the ceremony, portraits at the resort, and a change of attire, it was time for the reception. After some great food and lots of dancing, the reception ended. But our fun was not over, as Christy and Rick had arranged for almost 2 hours of portrait time around Penn State’s campus. What a fun time!!!!

Loved these shoes!

The necklace that Christy wore for the ceremony was the last present that her grandfather gave her grandmother. And he had gotten it from none other than Elizabeth Taylor!!

We made good use of the crazy straws at the bar. ;)

Like I said, after the reception was over, we headed out to do some portraits around campus.

Lauren and Brian – 06.12.10

Saturday’s wedding with Lauren and Brian had it all. Tears. Special moments. A vintage car. And, yes, a DOWNPOUR! The story of us doing our portraits downtown and the approaching rainstorm will go down as one of my favorites. These two were absolutely awesome as we hurried to beat the rain. Here are our favs from the day:

Sarah and Jeff – 06.05.10

It seems like forever ago that I had seen Sarah and Jeff. In fact, it was last August that we did their engagement session. So it was really nice to see them again on their big day. Sarah is probably one of the most expressive brides that I’ve ever had!! And exuberant too!! Not even the impending rain could get her down. Luckily the rain held off for a majority of the ceremony. Portrait time was a different story but at least we were at a picturesque spot like the Hotel Hershey where we could do some things inside. I loved all of the details of the day, especially the peony bouquet and the groom’s cake. See for yourself:

The bible that Sarah’s grandmother and mother carried during their weddings. And also the rings and the little plate that the ring bearer carried.

Sarah.

The girls.

The boys.

The flower girl.

Dodging rose petals and rain drops.

I LOVE peony bouquets!!!!

Sarah and Jeff.

LOVE this shot of the bridal party.

This is the “fun” shot that the bridal party wanted. At least they got into it!!

The ballroom.

The main cake.

HOW COOL IS THIS GROOM’S CAKE??!!??

Before the reception got too rocking, we went to visit Sarah’s grandfather in his room. He had just been released from the hospital days before so it was really important for Sarah that she saw him. It was an amazing moment that I was honored to capture.

The rings.

The “special guest” arrived just before we had to leave.

Ceremony and Reception: Hotel Hershey
Flowers: The Garden Path
Cake: Hotel Hershey

Ashley and Nathan – 05.29.10

Last Saturday, we captured the beautiful wedding of Ashley and Nathan. We started our coverage at the salon with the girls, headed to the B&B where they got ready, and then everyone met up again at the church in Carlisle. Ashley is a hoot and had me laughing so much the entire day! After the ceremony, we headed back to the B&B for portraits and the reception. The reception was so laid back. All of the guests seemed to be having a great time milling about the property. What a beautiful day for a party!!!

This moment between the ring bearer and flower girl was hilarious!!

A true cake smashing is never complete without cake up the nose. ;)

Dad was making sure there was no hanky-panky going on.

We’ve been seeing a lot of our past wedding clients lately. It was great to see Laura and Tyler again!!

Ashley and Barry – 05.22.10

Last weekend, we traveled to the outskirts of Philly for the wedding of Ashley and Barry. We started our day getting ready with the guys and girls before heading to the church. We had a little rain shower on the way to the church but we were all praying that it would stop. It did…but only until during the receiving line and then the heavens let loose. THANKFULLY it was clearing by the time we headed outside for pictures around the church. By the time we got to Waynesborough Country Club, there was blue sky! Ashley and Barry were amazing through the whole day.

Thank you guys for being such gracious hosts and for giving Claudine her first time driving a golf cart. ;)

There was a little family emergency before the wedding but all ended well.

The church was lovely.

When I had done the walk through with Ashley and Barry, I had spotted this SEPTA train station behind the church and knew that we HAD to do stuff there.

Then it was off to the CC for more fun!

We LOVE seeing past wedding clients. Remember the wedding of Lindsay and Geoff??
