Christi and Nick – 07.10.10

What a fun day!!!! I had been so looking forward to the wedding of Christi and Nick that I tried to move it up a week. :) I knew it would be a day of friends, family and fun and it was definitely that. We started our day spending some time with both the guys and the girls before heading to the church for the ceremony. Christi was literally jumping up and down with excitement while she was getting ready. After the ceremony was when the fun really began. We stopped at the far side of City Island to do some pictures and then made an impromptu stop at Dairy Queen on the way to the reception. And what a reception it was, complete with a surprise visit from Elvis!

I love this picture of Nick.

This is one of my favorite wedding images of all time!!!!

Saturday was awesome for puddle shots because they were everywhere and the sky turned so blue.

Our trip to DQ was so much fun. And they even changed the sign out front for Christi and Nick!

I think we might have seen a little too much of Elvis. ;)

This is what this little girl thought of Elvis’ singing.

Nick’s dad was having so much fun at the reception. Everyone was commenting on him!

Two of the cutest flower girls ever were in this wedding. Of course, I am a little biased. They are the daughter’s of one of my dearest friends.

Rayni and Matt – 05.08.10

When I met up with Rayni and Matt for their engagement session, I knew that we would be in for a good time at their wedding. And Andy and I were NOT disappointed. I headed to the Hilton in Harrisburg where the girls were getting ready while Andy headed to Matt and Rayni’s house to meet the guys. While Gia and Jess were working their magic on the girls, the guys made a stop at Ft. Indiantown Gap Cemetary so Matt could leave flowers at his father’s grave. We all met back up at the ceremony at St. Patrick’s Cathedral which was beautiful. And you might remember that Saturday was WINDY!!! Well Rayni and Matt were up for ANYTHING. We literally ended up in a wind tunnel in one of the alleys off State Street and I thought that Rayni was going to be knocked over. After we were done with portraits, we headed into the Hilton for the reception.

These images that Andy captured at the cemetary with Matt move me beyond words.

This was right after I told Rayni that she looked like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. :)

Some detail shots:

Told ya it was WINDY!!

LOVE this one!

This was such a special moment. Rayni’s father had passed away so instead of a father-daughter dance, she invited everyone on the dance floor to celebrate her dad’s memory. They danced to the song “Desperado” by The Eagles. I had to track down a tissue.

Cake.

Checking for leftover cake.

Kristie and Steven – 05.23.09

Saturday was the first day of the first ever Klose Photography triple header. Yes, that’s right. We had a wedding on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. And it was exhausting. But we had such a great time with each of our couples and each wedding was special in its own way.

So first up in the wedding of Kristie and Steven on Saturday. The day started off well enough until I showed up at Kristie’s parent’s house for getting ready with the girls. Poor Kristie had been sick since Tuesday and was still running a fever. And if you remember Saturday it was really humid which made it almost unbearable for her. We finished getting ready there and headed over to the Hershey Gardens where the ceremony was to be held. The plan was to do portraits of the guys and girls respectively before the ceremony. We tried to move quickly through those because it was REALLY hot by then. Kristie was trying to save all of the energy she had left for the ceremony so she stayed inside the Education Center until the last moment. She was such a trooper though because she made it through the ceremony AND portrait time with flying colors. Then it was off to the Hershey Country Club for the cocktail hour and reception. Kristie actually felt a little better there so we did some more portraits before settling in for dinner (which unfortunately our lovely bride couldn’t eat). The day was very emotional and there were moments that moved even those behind the camera. ;)

Without further ado, here are some of our favorites. CLICK HERE for their slideshow.

Erin and Matt – 05.16.09

Last Saturday, Lindsey and I headed to the Milestone Inn for the ceremony and reception of Erin and Matt. And we kept an eye on the radar all day. ;) The ceremony was set for 4pm and we all had a play it by ear attitude towards whether the ceremony would be outside or under the tent. First things first though. Erin was a gorgeous, vintage-looking bride. She was so calm when we arrived. She and Matt agreed to see each other before the ceremony. Lindsey and I orchestrated their “first glance” in their room at the Inn. Then we headed outside for all of the portraits. After a brief lull, it was time for the ceremony to start. AND THE RAIN HELD OFF!! Yeah! It actually held off through cocktail hour and didn’t start until the reception (under the tent) was well under way. And let me tell you…Erin and Matt’s guests did not let a downpour stop them from partying!
