It’s been TOO long since I’ve had the privilege of doing a session for Kade and Emily’s family. I couldn’t believe how big he had gotten when I arrived. And little Miss Emily…oh my. She is SUCH a cutie. Mom and Dad had requested that we do the session at their home for a couple of reasons. One of which is that they have this creek that runs behind their house. But I’ll get there. First things first. We did the family portraits first, then switched outfits for the kids. After we had done all of that, we let the kids get in the creek. Apparently this was the first time they had been allowed in there so it was such a joy for me to capture it. Of course, I got in too and let me tell you. It was COLD! But they had such a blast throwing rocks and looking for “fishies”.
I’m warning you now. I had a VERY hard time choosing images for the blog so there are A LOT!!
Emily and Kade.

Miss Emily showing me the adirondack chairs.

My little man has gotten so big!

The whole family, in one of their favorite spots.

Oh my. She is going to break a LOT of hearts one day.

I loved Kade’s overalls.

I LOVE dirty toesies. No portrait session should be complete without letting the kids get dirty.

You’ll notice a lot of vintage looking shots. I did this because that’s the feeling I was getting from the images. That’s also the feeling I get from this family.

Kade on the adirondack.

Emily was not happy with the shock of the cold water. But she got used to it pretty quickly.

Told ya I liked Kade’s overalls.

Probably my favorite image.

Finally enjoying the creek.

Thanks guys for another great session. I’m already looking forward to the next one. Oh and in case anyone was counting, there are 19 images in this post!!
