Jenna and Ben – 10.15.11

We are on a roll with re-visiting with families that we love! Jenna and Ben’s families made us feel so welcome for their big day. Besides it being a bit windy, the day was absolutely beautiful (which has been rare for us this year). Jenna was an absolutely stunning bride and her dress was to die for. I promised these two that while they are sunning themselves on a beach in Hawaii, that I would get their blog post up so they could see some images from their day.

Lauren and Brian – 09.05.10

Wedding number two from last weekend was our Sunday wedding of Lauren and Brian. But first a little backstory. I love these two. I have from the very beginning. From initial meeting to engagement session to wedding, we have just always “clicked” and they have made my job easy. OK. Enough with the sappiness. We started with the girls getting ready at the salon before moving right down the street to the church. Getting ready with these guys was such fun! Then it was time for the ceremony which was unique to Lauren and Brian. They used Beatles music instead of the regular ole wedding stuff. So cool! Then it was picture time. After we did family portraits at the church, all of the bridal party packed up in the trolley and off we went. Lauren and Brian had pretty much given me free reign as long as I didn’t stray too far from the direction we were actually headed in. We got so many cool images that it was hard to pick for the blog. Once we had wrapped up portraits, we moved into the West Shore Country Club for the reception. (The WSCC staff is top notch. You won’t get any better than them.) And the reception was rockin!!

Lauren likes to read so it was so appropriate that she was getting ready in the church library.

I absolutely LOVE this shot that Claudine got of Brian.

Lauren and Brian’s first dance. They danced to one of my favorites of all time. So I listened to it the entire time I did this blog post. It just kept repeating.

Ashley and “Chip” – 06.26.10

Last Saturday, we had the privilege of capturing the wedding of Ashley and James or “Chip” as I will try to call him. We started heading north to Millersburg for the ceremony before heading back to Harrisburg for the reception. We stopped for portraits at Italian Lake before heading to the Milestone Inn for the tented reception. Although it was a little hot and humid, everyone seemed to have a great time visiting with each other, laughing, and, of course, dancing.

Instead of wedding favors, Ashley and Chip made a donation to Caitlin’s Smiles as well as asking their guests to bring a book to the wedding.

And once again, we got to see one of previous bridal couples. Remember Krissy and Troy??

And this lucky guy in the middle was one of our seniors last year, Connor.

Kaitlin and Tom – 05.08.10

This past Saturday, Allison and I had the pleasure of capturing Kaitlin and Tom’s wedding. While the rain held out, the winds made it a very blustery day! Kaitlin and her bridesmaids prepared at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and the guys got ready at the best man’s house. Thankfully with enough hairspray and pins, everyone’s hair stayed in place en route to Pine St. Presbyterian Church. The ceremony was unique it that after pronouncing Kaitlin and Tom man and wife, a bagpiper lead them in the processional! Then it was on to The Peter Allen House for pictures on their beautiful grounds. Guests enjoyed a mashed potato bar among other culinary delights from Commonwealth Caterers and everyone danced the night away to keep themselves warm.

Kim and Dan – 11.14.09

Wow! Where has the last month gone? This holiday season has had us in overdrive here in the studio and unfortunately, blogging has had to take a backseat. But, we are almost caught up with all of the holiday orders so its time to get back on track.

About a month ago, we captured the wedding of Kim and Dan. It was a beautiful day, spent with two of the most genuine people I’ve ever met.

Kim’s father was one of the officiants. I love this shot of him peeking in on the getting ready.

Kim was such a lovely bride.

Teresa and Leigh – 10.17.09

“Rain” has become a very bad word for Klose Photography. It seems that we have had more rainy weddings than ever before. Last Saturday was no different. And of course, Teresa and Leigh had expected to have their outdoor ceremony in the beautiful fall setting at the Milestone Inn. Unfortunately, everything had to be moved inside the tent. But the tent was decorated so nicely that you almost didn’t even know that you weren’t outside.
