Karen and Brian – 07.18.09

I love Karen and Brian. No seriously. Ever since our engagement session, I’ve been looking forward to their wedding. Karen has been doing most of the planning from a distance so we’ve chatted several times on the phone throughout the past couple of months. She is one of the most genuine people that I’ve ever met. So I knew we were going to have a good day. We started our coverage with getting ready for both the guys and the girls. I knew from Karen’s description of her dress that I would love it and I did. It had POCKETS!!!! How cool is that??!! Karen and Brian had decided to see each other before the ceremony. So we orchestrated their First Glance at Harrisburg Country Club, where both their ceremony and reception were to take place. Then it was off to State Street with the bridal party to do some creative stuff before the ceremony. Then back to the Country Club for the ceremony which was beautiful. What a perfect day for cocktail hour outside on the patio too. I think the guests were a little reluctant to move indoors for the reception. But the dance floor was packed the whole night! And nothing could be more fitting to the end of a July wedding than to have a sparkler send off.

Here are some of my favorites and of course, CLICK HERE for the slideshow.

I had the pleasure of having my good friend Claudine help out Allison and I for this wedding. She rocked it!

I loved this moment during the ceremony. Karen’s mom started crying as her daughter walked down the aisle. Karen’s grandmother leaned over and put her arm around her.

Monica and Scott – 07.11.09

We had been looking forward to Saturday for awhile! Andy and I traveled to Lewisburg for the wedding of Monica and Scott. I had met Monica and Scott last year for their engagement session and quickly realized that they were going to be one of my favorite couples ever! They were so much fun during their esession that I knew they wouldn’t let me down for their wedding. We started at Rooke Chapel on the campus of Bucknell University. Both Monica and Scott are alumni so getting married on campus was very meaningful for them. After the ceremony we spent some time walking around with Monica and Scott exploring the chapel and campus a bit. Then it was off to downtown Lewisburg to the Lewisburg Hotel for the reception. Before we went in though, we walked around a bit there too and had fun. Then it was inside for the reception and BOY did they know how to party!!!!! The dance floor was packed all night. Andy and I were even caught singing along at times. It was so easy to get wrapped up in the fun because that’s just the kind of couple Monica and Scott are.

Thanks guys for a great party. Andy and I are extremely blessed to know you and count you as friends. :)

Now for my favorites! CLICK HERE for the slideshow. And yes, Monica and Scott did their first dance to Sweet Caroline. It was awesome!

Monica was just stunning!

We could have shot all day in this stairwell. It was like shooting in a big softbox.

Johni and Steve – 07.10.09

This past Friday, Lindsey and I got to go to one of our favorite venues, The Civic Club of Harrisburg, for the wedding and reception of Johni and Steve. And when we arrived, we were floored by all of the details. Johni had thought of everything and it was all pulled together so nicely. There were fans for guests. Takeout boxes and a candy bar. A wedding cake and 5 additional cakes. Two dresses and two pairs of shoes. And flowers everywhere. I cannot say enough good things about Dan from Blue Heron It was just beautiful. We had a great time, even with some rambunctious groomsmen ;) . Thanks to Johni and Steve and their families for having us.

Below are some favorites. CLICK HERE for their slideshow.

Christine and Rob – 06.20.09

This past Saturday, I woke up to the sound of rain. Pouring rain. That’s NEVER a good thing on a Saturday in June. June is wedding season. And rain, especially pouring rain, makes a wedding photographer cringe on wedding day. So I vented to my Facebook friends, said some prayers to God, and packed my bright orange poncho. I met up with the girls at Christine’s home while Lindsey headed on over to Rob’s house to hang out with the guys. The rain was off an on all throughout the mid afternoon, through getting ready and even through arrival at the church. But everyone was in good spirits and didn’t let the weather get them down. The ceremony was held at Second City Church which is a beautiful old church in the mid-town district of Harrisburg. The stained glass was just stunning next to all of the original woodwork. Christine and Rob had planned to have all of their guests release white balloons when they left the church. I was bummed because I thought white balloons on a cloudy sky aren’t going to show up very well. Lindsey went outside to wait for our lovely couple to come out of the church while I finished up some things with them inside. I followed them out. I was absolutely shocked to see BRILLIANT blue sky and tons of white balloons. It was beautiful and quite the surprise. And I’m happy to report that we only had one little shower while we were doing pictures with the bridal party at the Capitol and the Pride of the Susquehanna. :) Then it was off to the Sheraton for the reception. This was our first time at the Sheraton and the ballroom was really elegant. Lindsey and I enjoyed watching all of the great dancing by the guests!

Thanks Christina, Rob and families for having us. Below are our favorites of the day. CLICK HERE for your slideshow.

I love this shot of Christine’s dress in her childhood bedroom.
