Christi and Nick – 07.10.10
July 15, 2010 – 9:31 am
What a fun day!!!! I had been so looking forward to the wedding of Christi and Nick that I tried to move it up a week.
I knew it would be a day of friends, family and fun and it was definitely that. We started our day spending some time with both the guys and the girls before heading to the church for the ceremony. Christi was literally jumping up and down with excitement while she was getting ready. After the ceremony was when the fun really began. We stopped at the far side of City Island to do some pictures and then made an impromptu stop at Dairy Queen on the way to the reception. And what a reception it was, complete with a surprise visit from Elvis!
This is one of my favorite wedding images of all time!!!!

Saturday was awesome for puddle shots because they were everywhere and the sky turned so blue.

Our trip to DQ was so much fun. And they even changed the sign out front for Christi and Nick!

I think we might have seen a little too much of Elvis. ![]()

This is what this little girl thought of Elvis’ singing.

Nick’s dad was having so much fun at the reception. Everyone was commenting on him!

Two of the cutest flower girls ever were in this wedding. Of course, I am a little biased. They are the daughter’s of one of my dearest friends.

Ceremony: St. Catherine Laboure
Reception: Officer’s Club at the Mechanicsburg Navy Base
Cake: Family friend
Flowers: Pealer’s
DJ: Ray Thomas
Stephanie and Dan – Esession

This past week, I met up with Stephanie and Dan at City Island for their engagement session. We walked around getting to know each other and shooting while we went. It was a nice night for a stroll around the island!

We always seem to get these stretches where everyone chooses to go to the same location for their sessions (whether that be weddings, engagements or portraits). Apparently, we are in one of those stretches with the Capitol. We were there last Saturday for Nicole and James’ wedding portraits and the very next day, I met Christina and Jeff there for their engagement session. I had met Christina before at her consultation but this was my first time meeting Jeff. They are such a cool couple!! They made my job very easy because they were so relaxed with each other. Jeff mentioned that he had this “blinking” problem
but honestly, I wouldn’t have known it if he didn’t say something. They were both so natural in front of the camera. We are looking forward to their Fall wedding.
It was a VERY bright day so we worked a lot with flair and shadows.

We did leave the Capitol and do some shots on State Street before walking around City Island. Jeff is a HUGE baseball fan. ![]()

Thanks guys for hanging out with me on your Sunday!
