What a way to end 2010!!!! We had an amazing time with Amber and Eric for their big wedding day. Plus we got to work with some of the best vendors around. And all of the details were amazing. From the $50,000 diamond necklace to the custom reception lights, everything was sparkly and fun!

Rayni and Matt – 05.08.10

When I met up with Rayni and Matt for their engagement session, I knew that we would be in for a good time at their wedding. And Andy and I were NOT disappointed. I headed to the Hilton in Harrisburg where the girls were getting ready while Andy headed to Matt and Rayni’s house to meet the guys. While Gia and Jess were working their magic on the girls, the guys made a stop at Ft. Indiantown Gap Cemetary so Matt could leave flowers at his father’s grave. We all met back up at the ceremony at St. Patrick’s Cathedral which was beautiful. And you might remember that Saturday was WINDY!!! Well Rayni and Matt were up for ANYTHING. We literally ended up in a wind tunnel in one of the alleys off State Street and I thought that Rayni was going to be knocked over. After we were done with portraits, we headed into the Hilton for the reception.

These images that Andy captured at the cemetary with Matt move me beyond words.

This was right after I told Rayni that she looked like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

This was such a special moment. Rayni’s father had passed away so instead of a father-daughter dance, she invited everyone on the dance floor to celebrate her dad’s memory. They danced to the song “Desperado” by The Eagles. I had to track down a tissue.

Stephanie and Dan – 11.21.09

Stephanie and Dan’s wedding was rather unique. Not only was the ceremony held in the Capitol Rotunda but the reception was held at a private social club in downtown Harrisburg. And all throughout the day, Stephanie and Dan made sure everything was filled with their little touches: passing the rings around to all of the guests during the reception, hanging prints of them and their family and friends on the walls of the gallery, and having some amazing food!

Jill and Bryan – Esession

I love “golden hour”. This hour before the sun sets is the most magical time to take pictures. While I’ll do sessions at other times of day, this is by far my favorite. I met up with Jill and Bryan during “golden hour” for their engagement session. This was my first time meeting Bryan so I tried to ease us into the session. By the end, we were having a blast, chatting like we had known each other forever.

Trying a little something different. My eyes had to recover from this one.

This was our last shot of the day. And Bryan was SO happy to be done. So I let him do whatever came natural to him. Apparently that was “strangling” Jill. LOL!!!

Vasilka and Matt – Esession

I told you I was REALLY behind with blogging cool stuff. I did this engagement session with Vasilka and Matt weeks ago but they have been super patient in waiting for this blog post. Our first stop was the Capitol by the fountain. Then, after a change of outfits, it was off to Ft. Hunter. These two were so much fun to hang out with and it was great to finally meet Matt.

Christina and Jeff – Esession

We always seem to get these stretches where everyone chooses to go to the same location for their sessions (whether that be weddings, engagements or portraits). Apparently, we are in one of those stretches with the Capitol. We were there last Saturday for Nicole and James’ wedding portraits and the very next day, I met Christina and Jeff there for their engagement session. I had met Christina before at her consultation but this was my first time meeting Jeff. They are such a cool couple!! They made my job very easy because they were so relaxed with each other. Jeff mentioned that he had this “blinking” problem but honestly, I wouldn’t have known it if he didn’t say something. They were both so natural in front of the camera. We are looking forward to their Fall wedding.

It was a VERY bright day so we worked a lot with flair and shadows.

We did leave the Capitol and do some shots on State Street before walking around City Island. Jeff is a HUGE baseball fan.
