Jenna and Ben – 10.15.11

We are on a roll with re-visiting with families that we love! Jenna and Ben’s families made us feel so welcome for their big day. Besides it being a bit windy, the day was absolutely beautiful (which has been rare for us this year). Jenna was an absolutely stunning bride and her dress was to die for. I promised these two that while they are sunning themselves on a beach in Hawaii, that I would get their blog post up so they could see some images from their day.

All of the boys wore suspenders…even Jenna’s Dad!

See?

Heading to meet Ben for their first glance.

A fav.

Pumpkins!!

Look who showed up…Sam and Silas!!! Ben and Jenna are actually the twins’ uncle and aunt.

A great looking bridal party.

Heading down for the ceremony.

This could be my favorite father-daughter moment ever.

Beth and Brooks – 08.21.10

What a fun evening! We had such a great time hanging out with Beth and Brooks for their wedding that it hardly seemed like work at all. They did things THEIR way for their special day and I think that made it all the more special.

The girls getting ready. They are all so cute together.

The first LOOK-SEE. :)

Loved this look.

Ashley and “Chip” – 06.26.10

Last Saturday, we had the privilege of capturing the wedding of Ashley and James or “Chip” as I will try to call him. ;) We started heading north to Millersburg for the ceremony before heading back to Harrisburg for the reception. We stopped for portraits at Italian Lake before heading to the Milestone Inn for the tented reception. Although it was a little hot and humid, everyone seemed to have a great time visiting with each other, laughing, and, of course, dancing.

Here’s the day in pictures:

Watching the US in World Cup play. We all know how that ended.

Instead of wedding favors, Ashley and Chip made a donation to Caitlin’s Smiles as well as asking their guests to bring a book to the wedding.

And once again, we got to see one of previous bridal couples. Remember Krissy and Troy??

And this lucky guy in the middle was one of our seniors last year, Connor.

Teresa and Leigh – 10.17.09

“Rain” has become a very bad word for Klose Photography. It seems that we have had more rainy weddings than ever before. Last Saturday was no different. And of course, Teresa and Leigh had expected to have their outdoor ceremony in the beautiful fall setting at the Milestone Inn. Unfortunately, everything had to be moved inside the tent. But the tent was decorated so nicely that you almost didn’t even know that you weren’t outside.

Amaya and Chris – 07.25.09

“Barefoot Optional”. That pretty much sums up the casual theme of Amaya and Chris’ wedding at Allenberry Playhouse. I’m loving how much our recent weddings have been a reflection of the couple and their personalities. Amaya’s dress was custom made by Designs by Nicole in Olney, MD because she couldn’t find anything that she really liked. Her girls all wore different dresses in shades of hunter green. And the barefoot optional things was in full effect!!

We arrived for our normal getting ready coverage. The guys (and a few gals) decided to play some frisbee after they were dressed which made for some cool shots. I had fun with Amaya in the Mansion House and we got some great images. Then it was time for the creekside ceremony. I LOVE the creekside setting at Allenberry for a wedding. I love it even better when it doesn’t rain, which is exactly what it did for the entire ceremony. But Amaya and Chris’ guests were troopers. Not ONE of them got up out of their seats to move under the trees. Our original plan for a group shot of all the guests had to be switched a little. So instead of all of the guests standing in the rain for the picture, I did! After formal family pictures on the porch, we walked around a bit with just Amaya and Chris. Then it was inside for the reception. Chris’ best man was the “DJ” and he did a great job in keeping the dance floor going.

Christine and Rob – 06.20.09

This past Saturday, I woke up to the sound of rain. Pouring rain. That’s NEVER a good thing on a Saturday in June. June is wedding season. And rain, especially pouring rain, makes a wedding photographer cringe on wedding day. So I vented to my Facebook friends, said some prayers to God, and packed my bright orange poncho. I met up with the girls at Christine’s home while Lindsey headed on over to Rob’s house to hang out with the guys. The rain was off an on all throughout the mid afternoon, through getting ready and even through arrival at the church. But everyone was in good spirits and didn’t let the weather get them down. The ceremony was held at Second City Church which is a beautiful old church in the mid-town district of Harrisburg. The stained glass was just stunning next to all of the original woodwork. Christine and Rob had planned to have all of their guests release white balloons when they left the church. I was bummed because I thought white balloons on a cloudy sky aren’t going to show up very well. Lindsey went outside to wait for our lovely couple to come out of the church while I finished up some things with them inside. I followed them out. I was absolutely shocked to see BRILLIANT blue sky and tons of white balloons. It was beautiful and quite the surprise. And I’m happy to report that we only had one little shower while we were doing pictures with the bridal party at the Capitol and the Pride of the Susquehanna. :) Then it was off to the Sheraton for the reception. This was our first time at the Sheraton and the ballroom was really elegant. Lindsey and I enjoyed watching all of the great dancing by the guests!

Thanks Christina, Rob and families for having us. Below are our favorites of the day. CLICK HERE for your slideshow.
