A lot of you have been emailing about the progress of our garden. I’ve also been hounded by my husband to give you all an update too.
So since we last blogged about it, we’ve made a lot of progress. Many different cold weather loving plants have gone into the ground. Some are doing OK and some aren’t. But it’s all a learning process, right? The biggest project has been the installation of the 6 foot tall split-rail fence. Actually that’s the first stage of the fence project. We are now working on the putting a secondary metal fence on the split rail to keep all of the critters out. (We have deer, foxes, groundhogs, rabbits and whatever else comes out of the woods.) We’re hoping to have the fence and gate completed this weekend. We’ve also installed a rain barrel and built a compost bin out of old wood that we had in the garage.
I took some pics recently to show you all our progress.
