Erikka and Shaun – Esession

This was my first engagement session in quite some time and it was great to be back! And what a session to start with. Erikka and Shaun’s engagement session had been originally scheduled last Fall. But a nasty little visitor named Lee came and, well, I think most of us know how that ended. So we were super excited this past weekend when the sun was shining!!!! I met up with the two of them and their sweet puppy on State Street and we just explored a bit. Their wedding is fast approaching so you’ll be seeing a lot more of these too soon.

PS – Sorry about your shoe, Shaun.

What we’ve been up to…

I know it’s been awhile since the blog has been updated. We have been so busy that it’s been hard to find time to do that! I wanted to share a little of what’s been taking up so much of our time these past couple of weeks…SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY!! We are so happy to be doing softball pictures for all of the SPSA teams this year. It’s been great getting to know the girls and seeing them in action. Who knew that we would be having this much fun photographing sports?!?

Anyhow, there will be lots of activity coming up on the blog the next couple of weeks. We’ve got engagements, babies, seniors, weddings and a few special things to blog. For now, here’s a few pictures of my softball girls to hold you over.

Oh Avery Grace. I can’t believe you are ONE!! We have had our ups and downs but I wouldn’t trade this past year for anything. While I would have loved for you to have warmed up to having me take your pictures after 12 months, you haven’t. And you proved my point during our last session together. Love you!

Penny and Jesse – 03.31.12

Here it is!! The first wedding of the 2012 wedding season! And what a fantastic start it was. We spent the day with Penny and Jesse at the lovely Riverdale Manor, surrounded by all of their family and friends. There were so many amazing details, from peacock feathers to chalkboards. Penny did a great job in pulling it all together. Penny and Jesse decided to see each other before the ceremony, which made for some great moments. The grounds were a little wet so we played it safe for our photos, staying around the farmhouse. After the ceremony, the party really got started! Penny and Jesse had a surprise, choreographed dance for their guests after they were introduced. It was awesome! They ended the evening mixing it up with DJ Mike Miller from Mixed-Up Productions. What a great day!!
