Julia and Aaron – 01.02.10
January 22, 2010 – 2:22 pm
Even though this was the first wedding of 2010, we consider Julia and Aaron’s wedding our last wedding of the “season”. And what a way to go out! Take a spunky bride combined with amazing venues and add in a whole lot of details and you have the awesome wedding of Julia and Aaron. We started our coverage at the Hotel Hershey where both the girls and guys were getting ready. Allison headed to hang out with the guys while I stayed with the girls. After everyone was dressed and ready, it was out into the cold (and it was REALLY cold) and into a trolley to take us all to the St. Joan of Arc, where the ceremony was going to take place. The ceremony was beautiful, as the sunlight was streaming through the stained glass windows. After family formals at the church, it was back out into the cold (did I mention it was REALLY cold), on to the trolley, and back to the Hotel. Once a the hotel, we did a bridal party shot in the staircase for something different and because it was cold out. But once we were done with them, Julia and Aaron were up for anything so what did we do? OF COURSE! We went back outside! At one point, Julia was running through what was left of the snow with her arms open wide, just loving every minute of it. For fear of frostbite, we didn’t stay out too long. We did some more with just the two of them before we all made it upstairs for the cocktail hour. Andy had arrived early to capture the groom’s cake arriving from Charm City Cakes as well as to get all of the detail shots for us. The rest of the reception was a blur, filled with polkaing (is that a word?), cake eating and a tiny little medical emergency. But I’ll get to that in a second. Now, what you’ve been waiting for…the images….
Julia’s shoes were as unique and original as her. Little did she know they would cause her problems later. ![]()

Her bouquet was just beautiful! Orchids were everywhere and were flown in from South America the week prior to their wedding.

Did I mention Julia was spunky? ![]()

One of my favs.

Apparently the “spunk” was contagious…

…until it was time to walk down the aisle (which also was apparently the same time as nap time). ![]()

I love this moment Allison caught at the front of the church.

The lovely bridal party.

I won’t even begin to tell you why these boys are laughing.

Julia and Aaron in some lovely winter light.

A big thank you to the guys who were moving this piano and stopped so we could use it in some shots.

These two had so much enthusiasm for their pics. It was awesome!

This is Julia and Aaron seeing Strong Bad, the groom’s cake, for the first time. Isn’t he awesome!?!

The wedding cake, from the staff at Hotel Hershey, was just as nice.

The Castillion Room looked amazing!

The first dance. Julia and Aaron chose to dance to a slowed down, softer version of the Friends theme song. I loved it!!

And just to drive the point home about being different and doing what you want, Julia and her dad danced their dance to a polka!

Near the end of the night, Julia had a problem with her shoes. She quickly realized that her shoes had given her HUGE blisters that popped and needed some medical attention. The staff at the Hotel did a great job treating her. ![]()

Stephany and Daniel – 12.19.09
January 13, 2010 – 12:15 am
I’ve never had a wedding where it snowed a measurable amount. Ever. We’ve had flurries but nothing major. So when Saturday the 19th grew closer and the forecasts kept calling for snow, I knew we were in for some fun. I touched base with Stephany on Friday to 1. ease any fears that we may not be there and 2. tell her to bring boots. We were going outside (because I’ve never been able to do that with a bride and groom). So Saturday morning rolls around and it is snowing so much. But it’s the pretty kind of snow, where everything is sticking to the trees. You know, the general winter wonderland look. My husband (also my second shooter for the day) was bouncing off the walls because he LOVES driving the 4-wheel drive in the snow. When it was time to pack up and leave, I was apprehensive about our trip and he was excited.
Anyhow, we arrived at the church safely but before the plows did (which was interesting). The snow had thrown a wrench into some things for Stephany and Dan. The limo that they had rented cancelled due to the conditions. Thank goodness Dan had thought ahead and rented a Hummer for their transportation. As guests started arriving, the girls weren’t to the church yet. They arrived about 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. So we didn’t get our normal amount of getting ready shots but I think we made up for that with what we made them do AFTER the ceremony. By the time the ceremony and church formals were over, the wind had started to pick up so now the snow was blowing sideways. Temp was around 25 degrees. But Stephany had taken my advice to bring boots (UGG boots no less) and a nice jacket so outside we went! Stephany and Dan were so amazing in the snow! Not only did Stephany NOT wear her jacket but they were willing to trudge through snowbanks for me. We didn’t spend too much time outside though because it was so cold. And getting to Visaggios was a welcome warmth! And I should mention the guests for this wedding. Not only did the majority of them show up, but most of them stayed right until the end. And out into the blizzard we all went together.
Thank you to Stephany and Dan for being my “coolest” couple ever!
The new Mr. and Mrs.!

This bridal party rocked!! The MOH was from Alaska! This weather was nothing for her. ![]()

OK here begins the pics of Stephany and Dan in the snow. I probably posted more than I should but hey…they went out in the snow for me!!!

The flowers by Hammakers were beautiful.

Love this pic of Stephany’s UGGs.

The rings. On bells.

Look at the guy in the background. ![]()

First dance.

The decor was so elegant. These were the favors for the guests.

All night long, Andy and I kept getting pics of the guests going to look out the doors. The snow was literally horizontal all night long because of our location.

Jump around…

OK so this is totally out of order with the whole blogging thing but I just had to post it when I found out. Julia and Aaron’s groom’s cake from their January 2, 2010 wedding is featured on the Charm City Cakes blog. So cool!!!!

The “COOLEST” Couple EVER!!!!!!
December 20, 2009 – 8:09 am

Stephanie and Dan – 11.21.09
December 14, 2009 – 12:26 am
Stephanie and Dan’s wedding was rather unique. Not only was the ceremony held in the Capitol Rotunda but the reception was held at a private social club in downtown Harrisburg. And all throughout the day, Stephanie and Dan made sure everything was filled with their little touches: passing the rings around to all of the guests during the reception, hanging prints of them and their family and friends on the walls of the gallery, and having some amazing food!

Kim and Dan – 11.14.09
December 9, 2009 – 10:31 pm
Wow! Where has the last month gone? This holiday season has had us in overdrive here in the studio and unfortunately, blogging has had to take a backseat. But, we are almost caught up with all of the holiday orders so its time to get back on track.
About a month ago, we captured the wedding of Kim and Dan. It was a beautiful day, spent with two of the most genuine people I’ve ever met.

Kim’s father was one of the officiants. I love this shot of him peeking in on the getting ready.

One of my favorites. All of the bridesmaids helped with the buttons.

Kim was such a lovely bride.

Getting ready in a church’s nursery provides all kinds of interesting props for the rings. ![]()

Another one of my favorites.

Kelly and Chad – 10.17.09
October 27, 2009 – 7:11 pm
Our associate team captured the wedding of Kelly and Chad a couple of weeks ago. Again we had to deal with rainy conditions. The ceremony and reception were held at the Spring Garden Reception & Conference Center which provided for warm, dry conditions. ![]()

Teresa and Leigh – 10.17.09
October 24, 2009 – 7:03 am
“Rain” has become a very bad word for Klose Photography. It seems that we have had more rainy weddings than ever before. Last Saturday was no different. And of course, Teresa and Leigh had expected to have their outdoor ceremony in the beautiful fall setting at the Milestone Inn. Unfortunately, everything had to be moved inside the tent. But the tent was decorated so nicely that you almost didn’t even know that you weren’t outside.
Below are our favorites:
