What a fun evening! We had such a great time hanging out with Beth and Brooks for their wedding that it hardly seemed like work at all. They did things THEIR way for their special day and I think that made it all the more special.

The photographer did an outstanding job capturing what is one of the classiest weddings of which I attended.
It looks to have been a perfect day, captured beautifully in these photos. The silly family shot with the adorable girls and Brooks giving the “thumbs up” sign, made me smile; the black and white photo with Beth resting her head on Brooks’s shoulder could be on the cover of “Modern Bride” (there is such a wedding mag, right?), and conveys everything that needs to be said. Also, Mr. Blackwell says kudos to Brooks (or, perhaps, wedding fashion overseer with veto power Beth) on the excellent choice of Brook’s elegant long tie with vest, rather than bow tie with dumber-bund. Final tip: if you decided to freeze any portion of the delectable-looking wedding cake due to that ridiculous tradition, admit the error of your ways, take it out the freezer immediately and eat it — because in one year it will taste like a freezer-burned styrofoam packing block encased in butter cream plaster, and then there will be cake-related marital strife. Oh, and in case you were wondering because there was no card, a bunch of us all pitched in to get you guys the Ron Popeil Mega Salad Spinner II, which can do 8 heads of lettuce at once and has a handy can opener on the bottom.
