Another Break

We’re taking another break! :) The Klose Photography office will be closed from July 31st until August 9th. We will be checking voicemail and email sporadically.

BUT….Another break for us means another give-away for you!!! Starting tomorrow, there will be a new Fine Art image each day on the blog. But they are all untitled and I need your help. (I’m not very good at coming up with names for my images.) So, we will be selecting the best title EACH DAY to #1. name the image and #2. win an 11×14 unframed metallic print.

Put those thinking caps on and ENJOY!

****ALL POSTS WILL BE BELOW THIS ONE****

Jana and Justin – Esession

I met up with Jana and Justin recently for their engagement session around Harrisburg. And let me tell you, Justin is REALLY happy that we met up. You see, we almost missed seeing each other at our designated meeting spot because someone was running late. I won’t mention any names :) but someone was really glad HE wasn’t in the doghouse. :) Anyhow, I had a fantastic time meeting these two for the first time and showing them some of my favorites urban spots downtown. And they are both so comfortable in front of the camera that it made my job easy. I’m looking forward to their wedding in a couple of short months.

This was when Jana was still determining whether they were going to be friends for the session. :) (Can you tell I was enjoying this?)

As you can see, they made up very quickly.

Julia and Aaron – Esession

Julia and Aaron are one of my 2010 couples. I met up with them recently at Hershey Gardens for their engagement session. It was a little hot and humid but we survived! Here are my favorites:

Amaya and Chris – 07.25.09

“Barefoot Optional”. That pretty much sums up the casual theme of Amaya and Chris’ wedding at Allenberry Playhouse. I’m loving how much our recent weddings have been a reflection of the couple and their personalities. Amaya’s dress was custom made by Designs by Nicole in Olney, MD because she couldn’t find anything that she really liked. Her girls all wore different dresses in shades of hunter green. And the barefoot optional things was in full effect!!

We arrived for our normal getting ready coverage. The guys (and a few gals) decided to play some frisbee after they were dressed which made for some cool shots. I had fun with Amaya in the Mansion House and we got some great images. Then it was time for the creekside ceremony. I LOVE the creekside setting at Allenberry for a wedding. I love it even better when it doesn’t rain, which is exactly what it did for the entire ceremony. But Amaya and Chris’ guests were troopers. Not ONE of them got up out of their seats to move under the trees. Our original plan for a group shot of all the guests had to be switched a little. So instead of all of the guests standing in the rain for the picture, I did! After formal family pictures on the porch, we walked around a bit with just Amaya and Chris. Then it was inside for the reception. Chris’ best man was the “DJ” and he did a great job in keeping the dance floor going.

Bridgit and Ryan – 07.18.09

Dare to be different. That should have been the theme of Bridgit and Ryan’s wedding. From Bridgit’s feather purse to the gray tuxes to the couples’ shoes, everything was just the way that Bridgit and Ryan wanted it. Lindsey and Andy had the privilege of capturing the wedding on Saturday. Everything took place at Wind in the Willows in Grantville. The ceremony took place beside the lovely pond and the reception was inside the barn. What a cool place! And Bridgit and Ryan had one more surprise for their guests. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple had an ice cream sundae bar complete with homemade hand-dipped ice cream. YUMMMMM!!

Bridgit’s bouquet was made entirely of gardenias.

And a special one just for our friends with the Event Planning Network (EPN). Melissa and Tina were the coordinators for this wedding but they are also Bridgit’s friends and bosses. Yep. You guessed it. Bridgit is an EPN girl too. :)

Karen and Brian – 07.18.09

I love Karen and Brian. No seriously. Ever since our engagement session, I’ve been looking forward to their wedding. Karen has been doing most of the planning from a distance so we’ve chatted several times on the phone throughout the past couple of months. She is one of the most genuine people that I’ve ever met. So I knew we were going to have a good day. We started our coverage with getting ready for both the guys and the girls. I knew from Karen’s description of her dress that I would love it and I did. It had POCKETS!!!! How cool is that??!! Karen and Brian had decided to see each other before the ceremony. So we orchestrated their First Glance at Harrisburg Country Club, where both their ceremony and reception were to take place. Then it was off to State Street with the bridal party to do some creative stuff before the ceremony. Then back to the Country Club for the ceremony which was beautiful. What a perfect day for cocktail hour outside on the patio too. I think the guests were a little reluctant to move indoors for the reception. But the dance floor was packed the whole night! And nothing could be more fitting to the end of a July wedding than to have a sparkler send off.

Here are some of my favorites and of course, CLICK HERE for the slideshow.

I had the pleasure of having my good friend Claudine help out Allison and I for this wedding. She rocked it!

I loved this moment during the ceremony. Karen’s mom started crying as her daughter walked down the aisle. Karen’s grandmother leaned over and put her arm around her.
