A FUN Family!

On Saturday, I visited with my friend Brandi and her family for a quick session. They wanted to have some prints made for Mother’s Day coming up. We had made plans to meet at the Sunken Gardens in Harrisburg but the rain put a damper on that. So we came up with the alternate planning of doing the session inside at a family member’s house. As luck would have it, by the time our session rolled around, the sun was out and shining so we did some shots inside and out. All of the kids were hyped up (pre-Easter excitement?) but I really did have any awesome time with all their chaos. Here are just a few favorites:

Karen and Brian – Esession

One sunny day last week, I met Karen and Brian for their engagement session. This was the first time that I had actually met them in person. Karen and I had only spoke over the phone once but we’ve communicated a lot using email since she’s planning her wedding from Florida. They asked for suggestions for a location and I recommended that we meet at Fort Hunter and walk around. It was a little cold and Karen was in flip-flops :) so we moved quickly. But I had a great time getting to know these two and am really looking forward to their upcoming wedding.

This first one is hilarious. It was actually just a test shot for lighting and such when this cat hopped up on the picnic table and Brian freaked! It was too funny. Notice Karen holding him. ;)

Alison and Dave – 04.04.09

I can’t tell you how excited I was for this day to get here! Not only was in the kickoff to our busy season, but it was also the wedding of Alison and Dave. We’ve become so close over the last year and I felt like I was spending the day with lifelong friends. After all, these were the people who introduced me to the Pinnacle of Death (as affectionately call it) during the engagement session. So Lindsey and I arrived at Riverdale Manor ready to rock and roll. :) We spent some time with both the guys (and their iPhones) and the girls, braving the wind and getting some great shots around the property. Then it was off to the First UMC in Lancaster for the ceremony. After the ceremony and the bubble exit, off we went in the limo. We made a quick stop at Steinman Park then it was back to Riverdale for portrait time and the reception. We had such a good time with everyone: the bridal party, the guests, and especially Alison and Dave. Their love for each other was just so evident every where you looked. The last thing of the evening was the sparkler send off.

Right now, Alison and Dave are honeymooning somewhere that I’ve always wanted to go. I fully expect to see TONS of pics when they get back. And, since I know they are checking, here are our favorites from the day. CLICK HERE for their slideshow.

Dave actually requested a shot of all of us together. We asked one of the bridesmaid’s to help us out. She did a great job. ;) (By the way, this is what we look like after 9 hours at a wedding.)

Lisa and Jason – Esession

Last weekend, I met up with Lisa and Jason at Valley Forge for their engagement session. Even though it was a little cold and things weren’t quite in bloom, we had a great time exploring. Their wedding is in just a few weeks so you’ll be seeing more of these two soon. But for now, here are a few favorites from their session.
