HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Just a quick note to let you all know that the office will be closed until Tuesday, Dec. 2nd. In the meantime, HAPPY THANKSGIVING and we’ll leave you with a quote:

Adriana and Aaron – 11.15.08

Last Saturday, I had the honor of photographing the wedding of my former boss. Adriana and Aaron were married at Seven Sorrows and had their reception at the Hershey Country Club. Adriana is the daughter of Brady, whom I worked for what seems a lifetime ago. November 15th was SUCH a strange weather day. We had torrential downpours, wind, dark skies, and, I found out later, a tornado watch! Luckily, everything was inside and although the weather dampened our chances of outdoor pics, I’m happy with what we were able to get inside the HCC. And let me tell you. The rain didn’t dampen the spirit of the guests. It was QUITE the party!!!

Below are my favs. CLICK HERE FOR THE SHOW. And stay tuned for images from Adriana’s bridal session that we did before the wedding but were kept under lock and key until NOW.

A couple of captured moments at the church.

The lovely couple.

I LOVE this shot.

Kade – 11 months

So for Kade’s 11 month session, we decided to do a “Night in the Life of Kade” session. I LOVE these sessions. I arrived just in time for dinner and stayed until bedtime. And I’m SO EXCITED because I captured my FAVORITE portrait image of the year so far. More on that below.

DINNER!!

BATH TIME!!

Here it is. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!

And of course a Kade post wouldn’t be complete without an image of little Miss Emily.

Oh and I forgot to post this sequence. I’ll let you figure out what’s going on here. ;)

Jasmine and Cory – Pay It Forward #1

Jasmine and Cory were the willing participants of my Pay It Forward Project. (Click HERE to read more about the Roadside Families Project.) We met up at Long’s Park on a cold, getting-dark-too-early day for our session. I had an AWESOME time working with them and chatting as we went. They are amazing people.

Rebecca and Jason – Engagement

It was another recent cold day when I met Rebecca and Jason at the Capitol for their engagement session. They are one of our our Milestone Inn couples for 2009 and I had a great time getting to know them a little better as we walked around Harrisburg.

Sarah and Simon – Esession

Sarah and Simon contacted me recently to do their engagement session. We met up on a VERY windy day at Ft. Hunter. I wasn’t sure what the wind was going to do but it actually wasn’t that bad during our session. And the clouds even parted enough for me to get one of my fav engagement shots from this year.

Elizabeth and Christopher – 11.09.08

Sorry for the delay in blogging. We have been busy with weddings and portrait sessions but now have a bit of a break so we’ll be catching up on things. Last Sunday, Lindsey and I traveled to Lancaster for the wedding of Elizabeth and Christopher. The ceremony as held at Menninger Methodist Church and their reception was at Riverdale Manor. We had a great time getting to know these two and their families. And I’m happy to say that Christopher now knows what a pheasant is! ;) (a little inside joke but yes we did see a pheasant at Riverdale. So cool!)

Anyhow, below are some favs. Here is your slideshow.

I love the reflection of the best man giving his speech on the wall behind them.

Kristen and Brian – 11.08.08

Another busy weekend for us at Klose Photography. Saturday was the wedding of Kristen and Brian and we had the full team out for this one. I joined Kristen, her MOH, and flowers girls at the hotel for the final stages of getting ready and then off we went to Negley Park in Camp Hill, where Kristen and Brian were going to see each other for the first time. We took full advantage of all the time we had (even though we were flowerless at the time ;) . We trapsed about the park for awhile in all of the fall color and then were joined by the families for the rest of the portraits that we needed to do. After we wrapped up at the park, we were off to Good Shepherd Church in Camp Hill for the ceremony. The kids at this wedding were just so cute. I mean who doesn’t love a little man in a tux. After the ceremony and since we had done all of our portraits prior to the ceremony, we were all off to Visaggios for the cocktail hour and reception. Kristen and Brian got to enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests and we were able to do a few more extended family portraits. The food was AMAZING and the reception was still going strong when we left.

Thanks Kristen and Brian. We had a great time!!

As always, below are a few favorites and CLICK HERE for the slideshow.

This swing has to be one of the most popular places at Negley Park. What a view!

A nice shot by Maureen.

My absolute favorite of the day and it wasn’t even mine. Nice shot, hubby. ;)

Allison and Ryan – 11.01.08

So last Saturday, our own Allison got married!!! Lindsey and I were so excited to capture her day for her and Ryan. Allison wanted an outdoor ceremony and she put all her money on the fact that she would have a nice day in November at the Civic Club. She totally lucked out!!! Saturday was warm for November and that just put everyone in a great mood. Allison said it was weird being on the other side of the camera but she got used to it pretty quickly. We spent some time with the girls while they were getting ready before the ceremony began downstairs. Lindsey and I were amazed that there were monarch butterflies flitting about in the garden during their ceremony. After some creative portraits, it was back upstairs for the reception, where Allison and Ryan had both a traditional wedding cake and cannoli, their fav. Ryan actually proposed with the ring in a cannoli.

Some choice pics are below but the real deal is HERE in the slideshow.

One of my favorite cakes ever. Loved the colors.

The cannoli, from the Pennsylvania Bakery.
