6 sessions = 1 Sunday
October 24, 2008 – 2:38 pm
Whew. What a day last Sunday was!! So coming off the high of Ashlea and Blake’s wedding and a couple hours of sleep, Lindsey and I were up bright and early for a full day of sessions. And thank goodness the weather was amazing, although a little chilly. But with a little Starbucks and some gloves, we were good to go. Rather than put all the sessions into individual posts, I decided to throw them all into one. So, here we go…
The first session of the day started at Nissley Vineyards with Cara and Nick. This was the PERFECT location for these two as they love wine and I believe it’s going to show up in part of the wedding details.
Then we were off to Fort Hunter where we met up with the “B” family for their mini-session. What cuties the girls were!!!
We stayed right at Fort Hunter for our next couple of sessions. First with Stephanie and Brett for their Creative Session…
For our next sessions we split up and Lindsey hung out with Michelle and Chris whose wedding she is shooting next June.
I met Stephany and Dan at Fort Hunter but we finished our session at Negley Park in Camp Hill.
Then it was back to Fort Hunter to pick up Lindsey before hopping on the highway and heading to Holtwood in Lancaster County to the Pinnacle Overlook (or the Pinnacle of Death as I know like to call it). This was my second time there and I just find it highly ironic that two of our couples have gotten engaged there.
Finally, after a quick stop at Panera, we were headed home, two very exhausted but happy photographers.
Ashlea and Blake – 10.18.08
October 22, 2008 – 2:21 pm
What a beautiful fall day for a wedding on the river? That’s what last Saturday was. Although there was the slightest chill in the air, the sky was SO BLUE that we didn’t mind. Lindsey and I had the honor of spending the day with Ashlea and Blake for their ceremony and reception at the Milestone Inn. We arrived just in time for Ashlea to get in her dress and she looked STUNNING. From the dress to the crystal necklace, everything just made her shine! We did all of the pre-ceremony shots with the girls that we could then it was Blake’s turn. This was such an awesome bunch of guys (even though they gave me grief over a bartending issue!). The ceremony was beautiful and lots of tears were shed. We had some time with the bridal party and Ashlea and Blake for creative portraits before it was time to get the party started. The band, Jason Craig Entertainment, was out of NYC and they did NOT disappoint. And to top it all off at the end of the night, one of the wedding guests joined the band for an AWESOME rendition of Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones. Good times!!!
Now on to the images. Below are my favs. Click HERE for the slideshow.
This guy TOTALLY had the whole Mick Jagger thing going on. It was HILARIOUS!

Kade – 10 Months
October 22, 2008 – 12:02 pm
This month I met Kade, Emily, Mom and Dad at Ashcombe’s for Kade’s monthly session. We wanted to try and capture some of the fall colors while it was still warm enough for us to do so. And warm it was. We got to the fun area at Ashcombe’s just in time for the sweet light that I love so much. Kade was as always a trooper and did whatever we asked of him. I kind of feel bad for him that for 2 sessions in a row, my favorite image is one of his sister!!! But he’s still a cutie!!
Join us next month for a night in the life of Kade.
In the parking lot before we started. Apparently, Kade and the colored goldfish he was eating on the way didn’t agree with each other.
John Deer Shirt.
Oh Emily. The hearts you are going to break.

And I couldn’t resist posting this one just for its pure cuteness. There is a momma cat that lives under one of the trucks in the play area and she had a bunch of kittens. This one was LOVING Kade and kept watching him wherever he went.
