Erin and Jake – Esession

Trying to get caught up on blogging but we’ve been so busy with sessions and weddings lately that it’s been a challenge. This is from a recent weekday engagement session with Erin and Jake, one of our awesome couple for 2009.

6 sessions = 1 Sunday

Whew. What a day last Sunday was!! So coming off the high of Ashlea and Blake’s wedding and a couple hours of sleep, Lindsey and I were up bright and early for a full day of sessions. And thank goodness the weather was amazing, although a little chilly. But with a little Starbucks and some gloves, we were good to go. Rather than put all the sessions into individual posts, I decided to throw them all into one. So, here we go…

The first session of the day started at Nissley Vineyards with Cara and Nick. This was the PERFECT location for these two as they love wine and I believe it’s going to show up in part of the wedding details.

Then we were off to Fort Hunter where we met up with the “B” family for their mini-session. What cuties the girls were!!!

We stayed right at Fort Hunter for our next couple of sessions. First with Stephanie and Brett for their Creative Session…

For our next sessions we split up and Lindsey hung out with Michelle and Chris whose wedding she is shooting next June.

I met Stephany and Dan at Fort Hunter but we finished our session at Negley Park in Camp Hill.

Then it was back to Fort Hunter to pick up Lindsey before hopping on the highway and heading to Holtwood in Lancaster County to the Pinnacle Overlook (or the Pinnacle of Death as I know like to call it). This was my second time there and I just find it highly ironic that two of our couples have gotten engaged there.

Finally, after a quick stop at Panera, we were headed home, two very exhausted but happy photographers. :)

Ashlea and Blake – 10.18.08

What a beautiful fall day for a wedding on the river? That’s what last Saturday was. Although there was the slightest chill in the air, the sky was SO BLUE that we didn’t mind. Lindsey and I had the honor of spending the day with Ashlea and Blake for their ceremony and reception at the Milestone Inn. We arrived just in time for Ashlea to get in her dress and she looked STUNNING. From the dress to the crystal necklace, everything just made her shine! We did all of the pre-ceremony shots with the girls that we could then it was Blake’s turn. This was such an awesome bunch of guys (even though they gave me grief over a bartending issue!). The ceremony was beautiful and lots of tears were shed. We had some time with the bridal party and Ashlea and Blake for creative portraits before it was time to get the party started. The band, Jason Craig Entertainment, was out of NYC and they did NOT disappoint. And to top it all off at the end of the night, one of the wedding guests joined the band for an AWESOME rendition of Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones. Good times!!!

Now on to the images. Below are my favs. Click HERE for the slideshow.

This one just makes me happy!

This guy TOTALLY had the whole Mick Jagger thing going on. It was HILARIOUS!

Kade – 10 Months

This month I met Kade, Emily, Mom and Dad at Ashcombe’s for Kade’s monthly session. We wanted to try and capture some of the fall colors while it was still warm enough for us to do so. And warm it was. We got to the fun area at Ashcombe’s just in time for the sweet light that I love so much. Kade was as always a trooper and did whatever we asked of him. I kind of feel bad for him that for 2 sessions in a row, my favorite image is one of his sister!!! But he’s still a cutie!!

Join us next month for a night in the life of Kade.

In the parking lot before we started. Apparently, Kade and the colored goldfish he was eating on the way didn’t agree with each other. ;)

John Deer Shirt.

John Deer Tractor.

Oh Emily. The hearts you are going to break.

And I couldn’t resist posting this one just for its pure cuteness. There is a momma cat that lives under one of the trucks in the play area and she had a bunch of kittens. This one was LOVING Kade and kept watching him wherever he went.

Stephanie and Owen – E-session

Last week, I met up with Stephanie and Owen for a weekday engagement session. And we lucked out with a beautiful day, although it was a little warm. Their wedding is coming up VERY soon so you’ll be seeing a lot more of these two. For now, enjoy these…

Nicole – Bridal Session

Because Nicole’s wedding is this weekend, we’ll keep the images from her bridal session at the Capitol top secret…except for this one.

Rebekah and Craig – 10.12.08

Alright before you all say “It’s about time” let me just say….it’s about time!! I’m sorry there haven’t been any new blog posts. Lindsey and I have been diligently processing images but we’ve also had a TON of portrait sessions over the last two weeks to take care of as well. We’re finally coming up for air but only to take care of some long overdue blogging. So without further ado…

After Andy and I capture Susan and AJ’s wedding in Hazelton on the 11th, we traveled through the BEAUTIFUL Poconos to Allentown to meet up with Lindsey to document the wedding of Rebekah and Craig. Now a little story about these two. We did not do an engagement session (which we normally recommend so we can get to know each other a little better) but I had several long meetings with these two and I felt like we were old friends. Plus I was very excited to shoot at places that I had never been to before, especially Allentown Symphony Hall. I could go on and on about their wedding and the details but for the interest of time, I will only mention one thing. I have NEVER heard a better toast from a MOH than I did at this wedding. It was an amazing, touching moment that will stay with me for a very long time. (Those of you there know what I mean.)

So, below are a few favs. Click HERE for the show.

This one is my absolute fav!

Craig played the sax with the band while Rebekah danced with her dad.

Susan and AJ – 10.11.08

Saturday was SUCH a beautiful fall day. Andy and I were excited to travel to the Hazleton/Drums area for the wedding of Susan and AJ. We had 3 different locations to work with throughout the day: the church where the ceremony was held, a little historic church with a one-room schoolhouse behind it for portraits, and the Sand Springs Golf Club for the reception. Of course, my favorite was the little schoolhouse which was even more symbolic because Susan and AJ are both teachers. We had a great time with everyone on Saturday and it made us even more jazzed for our Allentown wedding on Sunday. Stay tuned for that!

Here are my favs from the day. Click HERE for the slideshow.

Heather and Cory – 10.04.08

On Saturday, Andy and I made the quick trip down to Lititz for the wedding of Heather and Cory. We seriously LOVE this couple. We just related to them so well. It was like photographing our oldest friends. We met up with them at the General Sutter Inn where both Heather and Cory were getting ready. When it was time for the ceremony, Heather’s parents walked her down the street to Lititz Springs Park. The whole day was just an intimate affair with everyone ending back up at the General Sutter for dinner.

And we are oh so jealous that Heather and Cory are enjoying Vermont for their honeymoon!!! We have not been back since our own honeymoon and have been wanting to get there.

My favs are below and CLICK HERE FOR THEIR SLIDESHOW.

My favorite of the day. Heather’s dad seeing her in her dress for the first time.

Heather looked gorgeous.

OK – So this one might be my favorite from the day. I can’t decide.
