Kade – 1 month
January 11, 2008 – 10:21 am
I love newborns. They just make everything right with the world. Yesterday was Kade’s one month session. I have not seen a happier one month old. And he’s already starting to know my camera which is so funny to me.
This was the first image of the session. Notice the furrowed brow. He hadn’t quite warmed up to me yet.
But soon, we were rocking and rolling.
This one’s just for Daddy.
I do love toesies!!
My favorite from the day.
Thanks Kade for spending some time with me.
Boudoir Event Wrap-up
January 9, 2008 – 10:44 pm
Thank you to all the ladies who attended the Boudoir Event at the Milestone Inn this past weekend. We had a great time with you all and the images we captured are AMAZING! Here’s just a little tease.
The lovely “S”
And “M”
And “M”
And, last but not least, “E”
We’ll be doing MANY more of these events this year as well as private sessions. Send me an email if you are interested.
April and Todd – 12.31.07
January 7, 2008 – 2:40 pm
It finally arrived. My last wedding of the year!! And it so happened that it was on the last day of the year!!
April and Todd booked me ages ago to ensure that I didn’t have any plans for New Year’s Eve 2007. So I’ve been chatting with April for quite some time about all of the details of the wedding. The biggest aspect of the day was that they were going to do their reception BEFORE their ceremony so that they could be married around midnight and pronounced husband and wife in 2008. A very cool concept but also one that required a lot of planning. Andy and I arrived early for getting ready shots of both the guys and the girls at the Holiday Inn West, where all of the festivities were going to take place. We also orchestrated those much sought after “first glance” shots that the couple wanted so that we could handle all of the formal pictures before the guests arrived. After we finished with those, April changed from her wedding gown and into her reception dress. The reception lasted for most of the night until about 11:30 when the bride disappeared to don her wedding gown again. The guests were ushered into another ballroom for the ceremony which ended in 2008 with the couple kissing and balloons dropping. Then the guests went back to the reception ballroom to finish up with the reception. I can tell you at 1:45am the party was still going strong!! That’s almost 7 hours of straight partying!!!
Oh and the awesome part was that abc27 news came and taped the ceremony and part of the second part of the reception as well as interviewing our lucky bride and groom.
Alright, enough talking. Now for the images.
The bride, looking stunning.
My favorite picture of the day. This is just after April’s dad saw her for the first time.
The first look…
The cake was amazing. About Weddings did a fantastic job matching it to April’s dress.
One of my favorite ring shots of all time. I used a noise maker for this one.
Waiting for midnight…
Champaign anyone??
Andy is always able to grab such great shots of the catering staff starting the chocolate fountain. YUM!!
April and Todd being interviewed by abc27.
First dance.
Father and daughter dance.
The second part of the reception was really rocking! I think everyone got a second wind. Oh and it also helped that the news was there taping.
A big thanks to April and Todd’s families for making us feel so welcome.
