Visit to the tree farm
November 28, 2007 – 7:31 am
On Sunday, we made our annual trip to McCurdy’s Tree Farm in Dillsburg for our Christmas tree. We had a blast!! Not only do they take you out into the fields on a wagon with hay bales pulled by a tractor, but once you get out there, you see this gigantic black tube slide. The kids just loved it!!
Anyhow, these 2 images jumped out at me. They were taken with my point and shoot.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…..
Anne and Benjamin
November 26, 2007 – 8:48 pm
As most of you know, Anne is part of the Klose Photography team. One of the perks of being part of the team is that when you need pictures taken, all you have to do is ask! So Anne wanted to get some pictures of her and her husband Benjamin before Christmas. She had wanted something a little more formal at another location but we ran out of good weather for that. So she decided upon a casual, fall session and we had a great time.
Here are my favorites from the session:
Katie and Ben - E-session
November 26, 2007 – 7:58 pm
This past Saturday, I met up with Katie and Ben for their engagement session in Gettysburg. They just recently booked with me for next August and I feel like I’ve really gotten to know them in the past couple of weeks. I will never forget Ben’s call to me from the pay phone at Sheetz!! Anyhow, we had a great time walking around. Here are some images from our time together:
The ring. Katie and I agree that we love when rings have stories behind them. And let me tell you, this one definitely does!
I’ve been to this spot on the battlefield twice now. I’m determined to get a couple here in every season. Summer, check. Fall, check. Who’s up for Winter?
Kristy and Josh - 11.17.07
November 26, 2007 – 6:33 pm
Kristy and Josh had no idea that the day that they chose for their wedding at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Harrisburg Hilton would also be the same day of the Harrisburg Holiday Parade, one of the largest events in the city. It took me FOREVER to get downtown to the hotel but when I did, our view of the parade was amazing!! Anne and I started at the Hilton with the girls and the guys for some pre-ceremony stuff. Anne and the guys walked to the church while I rode the trolley with the girls. This was my first time shooting in St. Patrick’s and it’s just a stunning church. After the ceremony, we went right down the street to the Capitol for some fun on the steps and then back to the trolley for the short ride to the Hilton for the reception. This party was STILL going when we left! Thank you Kristy and Josh for having us. We had a great time and hope you enjoyed Jamaica.
Now for the images….
This was the view from the Plaza Suite of the parade.

The dress, the shoes, the rings:
Kristy looked amazing in her Diva Ree’s dress.
I absolutely love when we can walk to the church! Here are the boys:
One of my favorites of the day:
The flower girl, Avery, was NOT happy when she arrived. But after a few lollipops, some candy and some juice, she was good to go!
Another favorite:
Two portraits of the bridal couple:
Sushi during cocktail hour. Anne was in heaven!
Soulja Boy on the dance floor.
Loretta and Matt - 11.10.07
November 20, 2007 – 1:03 pm
I’m a bit behind with blogging and I apologize for that but I’m going to catch up this week. Anyhow, last Saturday, I had the pleasure of spending the day with Loretta and Matt for their special day. I’m going to let the images speak for themselves on this one. A lot of these are in black and white because that’s the feel that I was getting. Plus I love black and white.
Ashley and Blake - E-session
November 13, 2007 – 8:56 pm
The second portrait session on Sunday was also at Fort Hunter. Ashley and Blake chose that location to try and capture some of the remaining fall colors, which I’m happy to report we did. They also brought along their dog Emma for some shots right at the end.
This one is such a great portrait of them.
LOVE this one!!! LOVE IT!!
The family portrait:
And Miss Emma deserves a shot all by herself:
Steve, Karen and Evan
November 13, 2007 – 8:52 pm
OK - I’m blogging a bit out of order but it’s just how the cookie is crumbling today. Check back tomorrow for my wedding from Saturday.
Sunday dawned quite chilly but I still met up with Steve, Karen and Evan for their family session at Fort Hunter. We were all a little cold but we kept moving and they were troopers, especially Evan. Karen and I were chatting about how there were still so many leaves on all of the trees and how pretty they were.
This is one of the first shots of the day and I just love it.
Evan. He was so awesome. His mom said that he screams every time he goes into a studio. I love being able to capture this smile for them.
I love this one too.
Thanks Steve and Karen! It was great seeing you guys again. And it was such a pleasure meeting Evan.
