When I woke up Saturday and saw that it was rainy and foggy, I was worried about what kind of images I was going to be able to get for Melinda and Chris’ wedding. But first we had to make the trip to Mahanoy City for the ceremony and then to Hazleton for the reception. The drive up the mountains was very foggy but thank goodness we arrived safely. After hanging with the girls and gals at the hotel for getting ready shots, we all headed to the church for the ceremony. This was my second Byzantine Catholic ceremony and I just love them. Amazingly enough, the skies cleared about halfway through the ceremony because I saw the sun streaming through the stained glass windows. After formals at the church, we headed to the reception at Valley Country Club. Melinda had warned me that we wouldn’t be allowed on the actual golf course so I had to look for an alternate location. I think I found one that was even better than the course and Melinda was a trooper and hiked up her dress to get there. The reception had some touches of Halloween since the date was so close. I have not had this much fun at a reception in a very long time. It makes me want to do a Halloween wedding next year!!
Anyhow, now for the images:

Melinda’s dad and brother before the ceremony:

“Come to me and I will give you rest.”

This little ring bearer was so cute.

This was the shot that I wanted the whole day and I’m SO HAPPY that I got it!!

And this ring shot…I LOVE IT!!!

Chris and his mom:

Melinda having some Halloween fun:

This is Chris’ sister Annette, who I have to say was the life of the party. See those horns on the top of her head? I’ll give you one guess where they ended up at the end of the night.

Andy and I had such a fantastic time with you all!! Thank you for being so warm and welcoming and most of all FUN!!!
